There are 2 living salons on the first floor, one of which pictured here has a cable television available for guests. Additionally there is the music room.

The Gansevoort House is also a literary retreat since the Canal Celebration in 1990 when Linda Stivala began bookselling. Meet the Author Teas and Parlor Music events are held. Books are placed throughout the inn for the use of guests to enjoy.
